The nurse straightens the outer ear canal by pulling on the ear lobe, then inserts the tip of a large syringe or double-entry bulb into the canal.

By injecting the liquid, the foreign object or earwax plug is dislodged and evacuated.

It is crucial that a doctor or nurse performs the ear wash to avoid any risk to the eardrum.

Preparation before the session:

We recommend applying a few drops of olive oil or mineral oil in each ear twice a day for 3 to 5 days before the appointment to soften the earwax, making it easier to extract comfortably.
